SPACES OF FONTANA is seeking 3 contemporary dancers for an upcoming project in October with the possibility for future performances.

The Dance Spot

We are a contemporary dance collaboration inspired by human moments to create art rooted in hope. We are dedicated to filling up every space with positive energy in hopes to leave every person touched with a sense of warmth. As artists, we explore improvisation, contemporary partnering, play and somatics to bring life to our understanding of a human experience.

We were founded by Artistic Director, Evelyn Joy Hoelscher, in 2016 in NYC and stoked to get ready for our first performance in our new home-base of Austin, TX.

As artists it is our goal to “create works worthwhile and beautiful, [that] not only enrich the cultural heritage of each nation and of all humanity, but they also render an exceptional social service in favour of the common good” as St. Pope John Paul the II wrote in his Letter to Artist.

Commitment: rehearsals starting September through October 21st

• 2-3 hrs of rehearsal each week (likely on Tuesdays btw 9:30 and 2:30 pm)
• Driving to Round Rock for rehearsal
• Tech Rehearsal - October 17th evening
• Performances at the Ground Floor Theatre - October 19th & 21st evening
